It was a foggy night of 1958 as Valerie walked home from school in Liverpool. She was thinking very hard about her new crush, George, as he was the sweetest boy she ever met.
George was walking on the other side of the street as Valerie spotted him! Should I say something? Should I not? She asked herself lots of questions as she dropped her books on the sidewalk.
"Oh no!" Valerie said as she looked up, only to see George standing there in his school uniform.
"Need some help??" George asked.
"Oh, sure," she barely was able to shuffle out of her mouth, "I'm sorry."
"Why must you be sorry? It was only an accident. Say, want me to walk you home so you don't drop those books again?" George replied.
Valerie was freaking out!!! "Sure, that's fine." She said flashing her prettiest smile.
"The lads in my band play this weekend, would you like to come watch us?" George said.
"Sure!! That would be wonderful!!" Valerie almost squealed.
As they arrived at Valerie's house, George held out his hand and yanked Valerie to his lips. Valerie still thinks it was the best kiss of her lifetime.

I wake up early Wednesday morning and try to quietly sneak out of my bedroom. Suitcase with all of my belongings in my hand with the lightest-sounding shoes I have on my feet. I walk downstairs and pick up a pencil and a piece of paper, writing down my farewell.

You walk home from your job at the diner. Your house, about a mile away, was a long trek on your aching feet and you were exhausted. You never want to spend money on a taxi but today you consider it, having saved up what you at least thought was enough.
You sit down on a bench and get all the saved up money out of your pockets.

Lea picked up her diary and pen. She began to write all the secrets down.
"I really like John. That hair, and the leather jacket, ooh, not to mention that guitar he carries around! A couple of the other gals told me he is in a group called the Quarrymen. I'm not sure whether or not he likes me back. I suppose I'll find out soon. Lea."
